The actress also hilariously responded to John Krasinski's recent joke about wanting to date her before getting with Emily Blunt.

Warner Bros. dropped a brand new trailer for the upcoming heist comedy Ocean's 8 on Thursday, and this new look at the female-led ensemble shed a little more light on Anne Hathaway's role in the stylish caper.

In the film, the 35-year-old Oscar winner plays Daphne Kluger, a wealthy celebrity who becomes the target of a gang of high-end thieves -- led by Sandra Bullock's Debbie Ocean -- who aim to steal the multi-million dollar diamond necklace she wears to the annual Met Gala -- at least, that's how it appears on the surface.

This new trailer opens with Hathaway'a Kluger sitting down with James Corden's character, who is presenting her with a series of surveillance photos of the so-called "Ocean's Eight," much to her confusion.

While it appears that Cordon is presenting himself as a law enforcement authority in this latest trailer, we have been led to believe from previous promos that he's is actually in league with the rag tag band of robbers -- but if we've learned anything from the Ocean's films that have come before, this upcoming caper will involve many twists and turns, making it impossible to discern any concrete information from a trailer.

This new trailer also gives up a better look at some of the women who make up the heist team, including Bullock's ringleader, her right-hand woman, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina, and Rihanna.

What's interesting to note is that the team Bullock assembles consists of six other women and herself, which is obviously only seven people.

Is Hathaway's seemingly clueless celebrity secretly the eighth member, helping out from the inside? Fans will get a chance to see all the stylish subterfuge and figure out all the twists when Oceans 8 breaks into theaters on June 8.

One day before the new trailer dropped, Hathaway took to Instagram to poke fun at John Krasinski after he jokingly said on The Graham Norton Show that he started dating his now-wife Emily Blunt after realizing he couldn't get with Hathaway.

"John, I’m only with Adam because I couldn’t get Emily," Hathaway teased -- referring to husband Adam Shulman -- alongside a screenshot of a news article about Krasinski's remark.

The quip came during Friday's episode of the hit British talk show, when Krasinski and Blunt appeared side-by-side to promote their new film, A Quiet Place.

During the interview, the Jack Ryan star revealed that he's watched The Devil Wears Prada 72 times, and his obsession with the film --which stars both Blunt and Hathaway -- was the first thing he mentioned to his wife when they first met.

Krasinski later teased Blunt about why he ended up going out with her, joking, "I couldn’t get Annie and so I was like, 'Ohhhh…'"

Recently, ET caught up with Blunt during a junket for A Quiet Place, where she revealed that she would be "down" for a Devil Wears Prada sequel.

"I mean if everyone wanted to do it, it would be cool," she said. Check out the video below to hear more.
