Davy Jones, lead singer of '60s pop band, The Monkees, has died at the age of 66. Jones was a British member of The Monkees, a pop group created for the U.S. television series of the same name which ran from 1966-1968. The band -- which also included members Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork -- had several memorable hits including
Daydream Believer,
Last Train to Clarksville and
Pleasant Valley Sunday.
