She was just nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress for her portrayal in Silver Linings Playbook and is receiving plenty of Oscar buzz for the role as well. She already received one Oscar nomination for Best Actress in the 2011 film Winter's Bone and this year starred in the highly anticipated drama The Hunger Games.
Here are five things you probably don't know about Jennifer Lawrence.
1. Born August 15, 1990 in Louisville, Kentucky. Her father owns a construction company and her mother runs a summer camp.

2. Auditioned to play Bella Swan in Twilight -- the role that went to Kristen Stewart. The loss of the role actually played in Jennifer's favor as it allowed her to appear in Winter's Bone.
3. Has said that her parents tried to convince her not to go into acting. "My parents were the exact opposite of stage parents. They did everything in their power to keep it from happening," she told Canada's The Globe and Mail.
