Brimming with "butterflies," first-time Grammy nominee Carly Rae Jepsen had no shame hiding her nervous excitement on the red carpet of music's biggest night.

"I felt nervous this morning [when I was] getting ready, but now that I'm here I just sort of feel like I don't wanna let that take over," shared the singer, determined to conquer her anxiety. "I'm too excited and… it's such an honor to be here."

When asked about how her two biggest cheerleaders (Justin Bieber and manager Scooter Braun) felt about Carly's two nods this year, she couldn't help but gush over the men she credits for her breakout success.

"I wouldn't be here without their initial nod, and it's exciting for all of us," she said. "This has been such an incredible year. We all know it was a group effort."

No doubt caught up in the hustle and bustle of preparing for Sunday night, the singer reveals she missed Justin's turn as host/musical guest on Saturday Night Live. Despite not catching the big show this weekend, Carly maintained the utmost confidence in her pal's abilities.

Beamed Carly, "I'm excited to see how that whole thing turns out because, if I know him, it will be amazing."
