Upon accepting the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at Saturday's Governors Awards, Angelina Jolie delivered an emotional speech with a heartfelt tribute to her family.
The Academy bestowed the prestigious humanitarian award upon Jolie, 38, for her consistent philanthropic endeavors, spanning from her global deeds as UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador to her creation of the National Center for Refugee and Immigrant Children.
As she received the award, Jolie was overcome with emotion. "My love, your support and your guidance make everything that I do possible," she said to fiance Brad Pitt, 49, as she fought back tears.
"Mad -- I'm not going to cry; I promise. I won't embarrass you -- you and your brothers and sisters are my happiness, and there's not greater honor in this world than being your mom," Jolie said to her first of six children, Maddox, who was in attendance at the awards show.
