Stars React to SAG Award Nominations

The 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Award nominees were announced Wednesday morning in Los Angeles, and we've got all the latest reactions from the stars!

Julie Bowen: Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series: "This is my 1st chance to say I'm so honored by SAG nom because I've been working all day at the greatest job ever!" (via Twitter)

Don Cheadle - Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for House of Lies: "It's always a kick to be recognized for your stuff, especially when it's by the people who know how the sausage is made. Now, please watch our damn show!!"

Sandra Bullock - Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Gravity:  "Had I known being locked in a light box and dangling from a ceiling for hours on end would land me in the company of these extraordinary women, I would have done it years ago."

Jennifer Lawrence - Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for American Hustle: "Wow. Such great news. Congratulations to the other nominees and to my fellow cast members for the film's ensemble nomination."

Mayim Bialik - Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for The Big Bang Theory: "This is an "lol" moment if ever there was one since there's not even a Supporting Actress category and it literally never occurred to me that I would be nominated for this ever ever ever. Ever. And to be nominated by my peers no less!? It's a tremendous honor for my fellow actors to care enough for my work to let me share the nominee title with such fine leading ladies. I thought the SAG Awards were the ones I could totally chill out about but being nominated means ten times the anxiety and ten times the anticipation and a hundred times the gratefulness. Thank you for this honor! But seriously, are you sure there's not some mistake!? Aaaahhhhh!"

Julia Roberts - Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for August: Osage County: "This is such an exciting morning for me and my remarkable cast mates. For all of us to be recognized by our peers in the Screen Actors Guild is a lovely honor."

Emma Thompson - Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Saving Mr. Banks: "It's a special thrill to be nominated by other actors and this movie was a pure joy to make." 

Kerry Washington - Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for Scandal: "I am truly grateful and proud to be a member of SAG/AFTRA and to be acknowledged by my peers in this way is an enormous honor."

Forest Whitaker - Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for Lee Daniels' The Butler: "It is a huge honor to be nominated by my peers at SAG. This role resonated deeply with me and it was a privilege to bring it to life on the screen. I am thrilled for our entire cast of Lee Daniels' The Butler and also for the recognition of Oprah's powerful performance. Congratulations to all of the nominees!"

Rob Lowe - Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries for Killing Kennedy: "It was an honor to play JFK and even more of one to be included in this list of amazing actors and friends."

Daniel Bruhl - Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for Rush: "I am thrilled and humbled to be recognized by my peers, thank you so much to the Screen Actors Guild for this honor. Lupita Nyong'o - Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for 12 Years a Slave: "I am incredibly honored to be recognized by fellow actors for my performance in Steve McQueen's 12 Years a Slave and I am proud to be in the company‎ of my fellow nominees who are all so incredible. Being part of 12 Years a Slave has been an unparalleled experience. I am so happy for Chiwetel, Michael and the entire cast. This nomination is something I will always cherish."

Chiwetel Ejiofor - Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for 12 Years a Slave: "I couldn't be more thrilled and grateful to the Screen Actors Guild for this nomination. To be recognized for a project that I feel so passionately about means a huge amount to me. For this recognition to be from my peers, makes it even more poignant."

Lesley Nicol - "I am stunned and thrilled that we're nominated again for a SAG. Could it be possible to win 2 years in a row? And again we're in such wonderful company."

Laura Carmichael - "It's such an amazing honour to be considered in this category amongst such other heavy weight dramas. We still can't believe it."

Phyllis Logan - "It was amazing the first time, but to be nominated again is out of this world. It's great for this specific category, as we work so well together as a team. But we're up against stiff competition, so go Team Downton!"
