Oscars Governors Ball to be 'Sensory Experience'

Huge preparations are under way for the Oscars, and of course the biggest party afterwards! The Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hosts the hot-ticket, annual post-ceremony Governors Ball for 1,500 invited guests including Oscar winners and nominees, show presenters and other telecast participants. Event producer Cheryl Cecchetto tells ET that the theme of the evening will be "a romantic garden setting"; Marc Friedland unveils the design of the Oscar envelopes/ announcement cards and the origin of the iconic phrase, "The envelope please…"; Wolfgang Puck previews the delicacies that will hit everyone's plates; Alison Crary of Sterling Vineyards tallies up how many grapes it takes to please the partiers on Oscar night; and Mark Held of Mark's Garden details the "sensory experience for the guests" that is in the works!
