Whose 'Strong Opinions' Help Naomi Find A Dress?

By

Actresses Naomi Watts and Glenn Close walked the Oscars red carpet on Sunday, dressed in opposing black and white, and they stopped to talk fashion with ET's Nancy O'Dell.

Watts, decked out in a shimmery white sequined dress from the Calvin Klein collection, and stunning Bulgari jewelry, said that her children play a big role in her red-carpet wardrobe decisions.

"They have opinions. They have strong opinions and they are very honest," the 45-year-old actress said of her two sons Samuel, 5, and Alexander, 6.

When asked if that was a good thing or a bad thing, Watts replied, "Both. Honesty is always good, but sometimes it's a little uncomfortable."

As for the darker-toned Glenn Close, she chose her dress based on the designer.

"I love Zac Posen. I love him as a person and he's a great friend of mine. He sent over some designs and I thought they were wonderful," Close, 66, said. "So I just decided very early."
