Country crooner Luke Bryan was one of the big winners of the night at the 2014 CMT Music Awards, taking home two trophies and even performing in the show's huge opening number. This time, the 37-year-old singer managed to keep from falling off the stage, but talked to ET about his recent tumble.

This past week, Bryan accidentally stepped off the edge of the stage and fell hard in front of the crowd at a concert in Charlotte, North Carolina.

"First of all, I was just very lucky it wasn't serious. I just, you know, I took the wrong step," Bryan explained. "I was on the edge of that stage and I tried to get a little closer to the [audience]. All year, we've had fans right up on the stage, but now we're in amphitheaters… we have to back them up a little bit."
