The MTV VMAs are usually wild, often raunchy, and always controversial. So who will offend this year?

Miley Cyrus had the Parents Television Council in an uproar last year with her twerking. So much so that this year, they're asking MTV to change their rating to TV-MA, which would warn that the content may be unsuitable for children under 17.

This year, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce and Taylor Swift may be the ones raising eyebrows.

Nicki Minaj will be performing her single "Anaconda" for the first time, and the video, dropping tomorrow, features a racy lap dance with Drake.

Beyonce has two songs that could potentially up the raunch factor -- "Drunk in Love" and the "Flawless" remix featuring Nicki Minaj.

Taylor Swift ditched her guitar, moving into dance pop territory for her "Shake It Off" video, which could also go into risqué territory if she performs it during the broadcast.

Watch the video to relive the wildest moments from past VMAs with ETonline's Sophie Schillaci. And be sure to tune in for the VMAs Sunday, August 24 at 9/8c on MTV.
