Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley and Keith Urban Deliver Moving Glen Campbell Tribute at 2016 ACM Honors

Glen Campbell is a country music icon, and the stars show up to honor him at the 2016 ACM Honors.

One of the standout moments of the show, televised on CBS Friday night, was Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley and Keith Urban's moving tribute to the legendary 80-year-old singer-songwriter, who is currently battling Alzheimer's.

"During his 50-year career Glen Campbell has been so many things. An amazing vocalist, a world class guitar player, popular TV host, and damn is he a good looking man," said Shelton, in a touching introduction to the tribute. "We all admire Glen for the courageous battle he's waging with Alzheimer's, but his true legacy is his one of a kind career."

Bentley talked to ET's Sophie Schillaci on the red carpet, where he opened up about the impact Campbell has had on his musical upbringing.

"I grew up in Arizona and Glen Campbell ... spent a lot of time in the Arizona area," he said. "So he's an inspiration for me in a lot of ways, and I love his music, so it's just a huge, huge deal for me to get the chance to sing "Gentle My Mind" -- part of the tribute tonight -- with all those guys. It's a real honor."

Urban expressed a similar sentiment when talking to ET about the experience.

"They're amazing songs. Elegant, gorgeous, timeless songs," Urban said before the show. "And it's just gonna be a real moment tonight, with Glen being there, and his family."

Urban said Campbell was a "big influence" on him, adding, "His singing, his guitar playing. ... He's influenced a lot of the cats in this town."
