Jessica Biel knew about husband Justin Timberlake's Oscar nomination before he did.

On Tuesday, the triple-threat star, along with Max Martin and Karl Johan Schuster, earned a Best Original Song nomination for "Can't Stop the Feeling" off the Trolls soundtrack, but he was asleep when the news was announced. Fans who are eager to hear new music from Timberlake, 35, will be happy to know that he slept late because he was "recovering from a late night at the studio."

"When I woke up there was a whirlwind of emails and texts, but my wife broke the news to me which was even sweeter,” he told Deadline of Biel breaking the news, adding that they were still "giddy."

"I’m still like in a tornado. I’m just really honored and grateful they recognized the song," he shared. "I’ve honestly been walking around thinking, ‘Did that happen?’ Obviously it was a great year for Max and Johan and myself with the success of the song. I’m having a pinch-yourself moment.”

Timberlake he was "really humbled" by the nomination and how popular the song became.

"I think most of all, I was excited the whole year that people responded to the song. Now more than ever we need something that puts a kick in someone’s step and unites us through a good feeling," he continued. "I think that is what I was always most happy about that it gives people a good feeling. For the Academy to recognize this song? Wow. Yeah, I’m pinching myself."

"Can't Stop the Feeling" was also nominated for a Golden Globe earlier this year, and Biel was by Timberlake's side at the awards show. “It’s amazing that Justin’s song is up for a nomination tonight,” the 34-year-old actress gushed to ET. “We love that song. We love it at home. We’ve probably been part of at least 100,000 streams!”
