Emmy Flashback '00: Halle Can't Find Her Award

For a woman who has only appeared in a handful of television show episodes, it would seem like the Emmys are foreign territory for film actress Halle Berry, but she sneaked in an Emmy in 2000 for the made-for-TV movie Introducing Dorothy Dandridge.
While she was certainly proud to receive her first Emmy award for the biopic that would go on to earn her a slew of awards including a Golden Globe, the first words she utters backstage to ET are: "I don't know where my Emmy is. I don't have one."

However, Berry was all smiles knowing that she would eventually get her Emmy back from the show's crew. Although she had already received awards for the TV movie, she reveals that she wasn't expecting to win an Emmy that night.
"I was just here for fun tonight," she says in the video flashback. "I got a chance to go up [on stage] and say 'Thank you' again and it was great...I'd won a few things this year, so I won't say [I was] as shocked but just as surprised and just as happy."

Despite a few more nominations, that Emmy has proved to be Berry's sole Emmy to date, which makes her concluding comments about first-time experiences all the more ironic.
