Even Beck thinks Kanye West's joke about storming the stage when the "Devils Haircut" singer surprisingly won Album of the Year over the likes of Sam Smith, Pharrell Williams and Beyonce was funny.

"I was so excited he was coming up!" the 44-year-old singer-songwriter told reporters after the show about the scene-stealing moment. "He deserves to be on that stage. How many great records has he put out in the last five years, right?"

However, the respect wasn't entirely mutual, as the 37-year-old rapper wasn't shy about sharing his thoughts that Beyonce should have taken home the coveted GRAMMY.

"Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyoncé, and at this point, we tired of it," he heatedly told E! News after the show. "The GRAMMYs, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain't gonna play with them no more. ... Because what happens is, when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in their face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you're disrespectful to inspiration."

Even Beck was surprised about his GRAMMY win when ET caught up with him at the Universal GRAMMY after-party.

"I don't believe it!" he told ET. "The artists in that category are formidable and they all do things I could never do, even in 100 years. "I have worked with Pharrell, there’s no one else who does what he does. I thought Beyonce was going to win!"

"You can't please everybody, man," he later told reporters about Kanye's diss. "I still love him and think he's genius. I aspire to do what he does."
