Mark Ruffalo Tweets SAG Acceptance Speech from Bed

Mark Ruffalo's 2015 SAG Awards acceptance speech was exclusive to his 1.25 million followers.

The 47-year-old actor won for Best Actor for his role in HBO's The Normal Heart, and while he couldn't make the Sunday night event, he tweeted his gratitude from bed.

"A very special thanks to the love of my life, my pal, and my partner Sunrise Ruffalo. And Keen, Bella, and Odette," he wrote. "Special thank you to all my brother and sister actors for this incredible distinction. It's really the one that matters. @SAGAwards."

The Normal Heart -- directed by Ryan Murphy and also starring Julia Roberts and Matthew Bomer -- tells the story of a gay activist who attempts to raise HIV/AIDS awareness during the early 1980s. "To all the people who lived through the AIDS crisis and lost the ones you loved," Ruffalo tweeted. "This award is yours. @SAGawards You are heroes."

The actor didn't forget about his fans, adding: "Last but not least. Thanks to all you folks who have supported the movie and me all these years. Good night. Again."
