The Latest on Lindsay![]() Copyright 2006 Frazer Harrison / Getty Images After a wild weekend, Lohan faces the music in rehab as the producers of her latest flick speak out on her recent troubles. The producers of LINDSAY LOHAN's latest film are speaking out after the actress checked herself into Promises treatment center in Malibu on Monday. SHIRLEY MacLAINE and ROB HICKMAN, the producers of 'Poor Things,' have released a statement through their publicist on the future of Lindsay's involvement with the film in light of her recent troubles. "In the spirit of helping Lindsay Lohan and her rehabilitation, we have been asked by Lindsay to comply with her wishes to continue working on 'Poor Things,'" the statement reads. "We are trying to rearrange the shooting schedule to facilitate her working at the end of the shoot to coincide with the completion of her rehabilitation. We wish her love and the blending of mind, body and spirit." Addiction specialist MARTY BRENNER of the Domus Retreat says that Lindsay's stint in rehab is not going to be a walk in the park. "They'll put you through a detox," Marty tells ET. "You'll [enter into] group settings, you'll have chores, you'll wake up at 6 o'clock in the morning [and] go to AA meetings." This is the second time this year the 20-year-old actress has entered a treatment program. She's expected to stay at least 30 days. Marty believes someone should be held responsible for Lindsay's wild ways. "She has no one there parenting her to tell her where to go," he tells ET. "She's a loose cannon. She has so much money she doesn't know what to do with anything. She's just going, going, going ... actually, she's just reaching out for help." Lindsay's latest rehab stint comes on the heels of reports that the star was out on the town less than 48 hours after being cited for investigation of driving under the influence early Saturday morning. The 'Georgia Rule' star was in good spirits at a Memorial Day party on Sunday at Teddy's night club at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, People reports. Inside, her gal pal, DJ SAMANTHA RONSON, was spinning music for the crowd. Afterwards, X17 cameras caught Lindsay apparently asleep in the passenger seat of Ronson's car. According to the New York Post, she had to be assisted to the car by one of the club's bouncers after collapsing outside the club. The paper also reports that Svedka vodka has reportedly pulled out as sponsors for her birthday party this summer in Las Vegas. Her highly publicized moves over the long Memorial Day weekend came after police reported that the 'Mean Girls' actress had been slightly injured when she crashed her Mercedes into a curb around 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning. There were two other people in the car when her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible hit the curb on Sunset Blvd. None of the other passengers were injured. The Beverly Hills Police Department issued the following statement: "Beverly Hills Police officers arrived on scene within three minutes of the initial 911 call and were advised by a witness that an accident had occurred; however, the driver of the involved vehicle just left the scene in a second uninvolved vehicle ... Officers tracked Ms. Lohan to a local hospital where she was ultimately placed under arrest for 23152 (a) V.C. -- Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Due to the fact Ms. Lohan was admitted to the hospital for her injuries, she was cited and released on the misdemeanor charge." Investigators are continuing their investigation and additional charges may be filed in this case. According to a CBS News report, the additional examination of the case includes: "a 'usable amount' of what might be cocaine, but it was not disclosed whether they believed she was under the influence of the drug or alcohol." The court arraignment date has been set for August 24. Back in January, Lohan entered rehab, issuing the following statement at that time: "I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health. I appreciate your well wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time." In the May issue of Allure magazine, Lohan talked about her headline-making trips to rehab and Alcoholics Anonymous. "It's so weird that I went to rehab," she said. "I always said I would die before I went to rehab." Even though she's under the legal drinking age, Lindsay also said she had no intention of giving up her late-night club-hopping. "That's my life!" she stated. In fact, she told the magazine -- after a year of attending AA meetings -- "I don't know that I'm necessarily an addict." Posted May 30, 2007 5:04:00 PM
