On Thursday, MTV announced that the 38-year-old actor will be receiving this year's Generation Award, an award given to the recipient for their noteworthy contributions to film and TV. The announcement lists Pratt's roles in Parks and Recreation, Jurassic World, Guardians of the Galaxy and most recently, Avengers: Infinity War, as just a few of his memorable performances.

Past recipients of the award include the Fast & Furious franchise, Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Wahlberg, Sandra Bullock, Jamie Foxx, Johnny Depp, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, Tom Cruise and Jim Carrey.

Earlier this month, MTV announced the categories and nominees for the annual awards show, with Black Panther leading the movie pool with seven nods and Stranger Things coming in big for TV with six.

Tiffany Haddish is hosting this year's MTV Movie & TV Awards, which will air on Monday, June 18 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

ET was with Haddish at a promo shoot for the event and she couldn't hold back her excitement about hosting the show.

"It's going to be super fun and I'm trying to represent everybody in the whole wide world," she said. "I'm just going to be myself and I mean, I got a lot of great jokes and a lot of good commercials."

"I feel very cute and sexy and vibrant and being the first woman to ever host the MTV Movie & TV Awards, it's a little bit of pressure," she added. "But it's going to be a lot of fun."

ET also spoke to Haddish at the Met Gala on Monday in New York City, where she joked that she was ready to party with "rich men."
