If you haven't seen Florence + The Machine front woman Florence Welch perform yet, you may be waiting a while. The singer reveals that she's taking time off from touring to chase another dream.

Welch, 26, told the London Evening Standard, "I've been on tour since I was 21. I need a break and to have the chance to do normal things, like go to the supermarket and hang out with my friends."

That being said, the Dog Days performer isn't giving up on music so easily, adding that she plans on taking this year to write a musical. "I've only just moved out of my mum’s house, so I’d like to settle into my new place and start getting inspired again," she adds. "If I started writing songs now, all they’d be about is tour buses and hotel rooms."

As for the singer's personal life, there's a rumor circulating that actor Sean Penn has become quite smitten with Welch after meeting her at a Gucci event a few weeks back.
