Goose, Maverick and Iceman are back! The 1986 classic Top Gun is getting a 3D makeover that is sure to take audiences' breathe away.

The film will have a six-day run at Imax theaters starting on Feb. 8, 2013, Paramount announced on Tuesday (via The Hollywood Reporter). The remastering of Top Gun was done under the supervision of the film's director, Tony Scott, who recently passed away.

During its original run in theaters, Top Gun grossed over $350 million worldwide. Produced by Don Simpson and super producer Jerry Bruckheimer and starring Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer, Meg Ryan and Anthony Edwards, the iconic movie is about the macho students of an elite US Flying school for advanced fighter pilots who compete to be best in the class, and one (Cruise) romances the teacher (McGillis).
