Director Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy) is back and in the new trailer for his film Pacific Rim we see him finally get to make the ultimate end-of-world, giant monsters-attack-Earth movie.
The film boasts loads of awesome CGI images as it tells the story of a monstrous creature attack from a dimensional rift beneath the sea that threatens the Earth's existence. In an attempt to save the planet, giant robots piloted by humans are deployed to fight off the menace.
Robots, monsters and British heartthrob Idris Elba! What more do you want from the end of the world?!
Not only that, the best line in the trailer has to come from Elba who proclaims, "Today we are canceling the apocalypse!"
Pacific Rim also stars Charlie Day, Rinko Kikutchi, Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman, and doesn't hit theaters until July 2013.
