A Toast to 'The Great Gatsby' Trailer

December 20, 2012

Raise your glass of bubbly! The classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel The Great Gatsby is coming to the big screen – courtesy of the uniquely imaginative mind of Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge) -- with a cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan, and we have a first look at the dazzling new trailer!

The brand-new adaptation of Fitzgerald's tale of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings follows Midwestern wannabe writer named Nick Carraway (Maguire) as he heads to New York City in search of the American Dream in the spring of 1922. Nick ends up next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby (DiCaprio), and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy (Mulligan) and her philandering husband, Tom Buchanan (Joel Edgarton).

Soon, Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super-rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.

In theaters May 10, 2013, The Great Gatsby also star Isla Fisher, Jason Clarke, Elizabeth Debicki, Amitabh Bachchan and Jack Thompson.
