Better late than never. Years after her peers took to social networking, Megan Fox has finally joined Twitter. At this rate, she'll be on Instagram in 2016.

Since first posting Thursday night, the This Is 40 actress, 26, already has over 30,000 followers and her first message has been retweeted over 1,000 times.

"I'm incredibly late to the party," her inaugural tweet reads. "But I'm here nonetheless, so what now?" One follower suggested to the new mom: "Welcome! Just sit back and relax - read some rants, send some."

Fox also announced the news on her Facebook page, writing: "Against my better judgment, I have finally joined Twitter. Every possible version of my name is already in use so for now my Twitter handle is @MeganFox516 (Fox was born on May 16). See you there."

Despite her rapid popularity on the social networking site, Fox has yet to follow anyone on Twitter though she does have another message for her tweeps. The Transformers star's page reads: "Lover. Healer. Mother."
