It's no secret that this awards season it seemed Jennifer Lawrence was the belle of the balls while Anne Hathaway came off as her dramatic step sister. But despite all the jokes made about Hathaway on the web this past Oscars Sunday, the Les Miserables star does have one fellow starlet in her corner, and she too isn't immune to a few bad reviews.
Girls star Lena Dunham took to Twitter this week to speak out in support of Hathaway, 30. The Golden Globe winner wrote: "Ladies: Anne Hathaway is a feminist and she has amazing teeth. Let's save our bad attitudes for the ones who aren't advancing the cause."
However, Dunham, 26, wasn't too thrilled with Oscars host Seth MacFarlene's monologue song, tweeting: "Hey ragers. 'The ones who aren't advancing the cause.' I mentioned aren't always, or mostly, women. Case in point: I saw your boobs."
She later added, jokingly: "Now I've said something murky about women's lib and will return to eating edamame/thinking about moving to Austin like I always do!"
