To all those who are still going after '90s heartthrob Christian Slater, he's officially off the market! The Cuffs star revealed that he popped the question to his longtime love Brittany Lopez after three years of dating, but this couple almost didn't happen due to a bit of confusion on Slater's part.

Slater, 43, told Late Night host Jimmy Fallon that upon meeting his fiance in 2009 at the Little Palm Island Resort in Miami, he thought she was a lesbian. "This girl came walking along with another lady, a slightly older lady," Slater explains. "I was sitting in my usual spot, eating my oatmeal...and this spot was famous for people proposing to each other. It was very, very nice. So she's there, and the next thing I know, she gets down on one knee and proposes to this older lady."

The actor decided to congratulate the "couple" after witnessing what he believes was a "lesbian engagement" only to find out that wasn't the case at all. "But it turns out it was her aunt, and she was just trying to help her aunt capture the beauty and the romance of the moment. She was making a joke, and I witnessed it, and it intrigued me, and the next thing I knew, we were hanging out in the Everglades."

This will be Slater's second marriage. He shares two children, Jaden, 13, and Eliana, 11, with ex-wife Ryan Haddon.
