Batman was so 2012. Superman is the superhero of 2013, and the Man of Steel himself, Henry Cavill, suits up for the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly.
Obviously, Cavill looks super sexy in his muscle-baring Superman getup as the headline reads: "Superman gets all hot and modern."
"I'll be honest with you, there's no Kryptonite in the movie," director Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) reveals to EW. "Those glowing green space rocks -- Superman's only crippling weakness – have turned up so often as a plot point in movies, the only fresh option was not to use it. Anyway, if you want to make an audience relate to a character, a galactic allergy isn't the way to do it."
Cavill says of his caped character, "Although he is not susceptible to the frailties of mankind, he is definitely susceptible to the emotional frailties."
UPDATE: A new Man of Steel trailer has been released and it. is. epic. WATCH!
Man of Steel, also starring Russell Crow, Amy Adams and Michael Shannon and headed up by Dark Knight Rises' Christopher Nolan, hits theaters June 14.
