Brand, 37, explained that he tried to coerce Cruise, 50, into asking him to join the Church of Scientology by saying things like, "Oh Tom, sometimes I feel a bit lost in life. He'd go, 'Oh, I dunno. Read the Bible.'"
"That man had no interest in getting me into Scientology at all," Brand joked. "If there's a cult that don't want me, I wanna know why."
