After a night of bickering behind the judges' table, Nicki Minaj launches an all-out Twitter war against her fellow American Idol judge Mariah Carey -- and the tweets aren't pretty.
It all started when Carey, 43, shot down Minaj's advice to 18-year-old contestant Angie Miller after she sang Someone To Watch Over Me. Referring to her as a "Disney princess," Minaj praised Miller's voice and said she could see her singing on Broadway. "Something you should work and concentrate on is your high notes as when you hit them you seem to get into it and your face and your body transforms so just get the beginning to there," Minaj noted.
Carey disagreed, telling the contestant that despite what "certain judges" say, she didn't think Miller needed a "happy Disney princess moment." Rolling her eyes, Minaj bit back, "I didn't say that."
Wagging her finger at Minaj, Carey said, "Oh excuse me, the music will cut me off." Minaj didn't take this lightly, quipping back, "Clean your ears out, clean your ears out."
Carey shot back, "Darling, let me express this to her as a singer. Just sing from your heart every time and your notes will continue to shine regardless of the dirt that gets splattered around you."
Sensing the awkwardness, Ryan Seacrest told the ladies, "Someone is going to go to the corner, we have to get to the end of the show ladies. Are we all still on for dinner?"
Seacrest's joke didn't seem to calm Minaj's nerves, who took to Twitter to express her frustration. The 30-year-old rapper wrote: "What u SHOULD be doing (wit your messy ass) is asking why a woman SO successful at her age, is still so INSECURE, and bitter."
Referring to rumors that former judge Jennifer Lopez was asked to replace Carey on Idol mid-season, Minaj tweeted: "All dem #1s but JLo phone ringin? Lol. I guess having a personality, being a secure woman, and giving genuine critique still trumps that."

Another tweet read: "Bwaha! Burn? She's sad i tied her record for Hot 100 entries in only 3 years of being in the game. Yep, a black female rapper."

What do you think of the feud between Minaj and Carey on Idol? Is it helping or hurting the show?
