'Revenge' Loses Another Cast Member: REPORT

Ashley Davenport has been the frenemy to just about everyone on Revenge, but her time in the Hamptons has come to an end.
Deadline reports that actress Ashley Madekwe, who plays Miss Davenport on the ABC series, will not return to the nighttime drama for season 3. The trade website claims Madekwe was not picked up due to "storyline reasons."
UPDATE: Ashley confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, "Yes it's true I'm leaving Revenge. I've LOVED playing Ashley Davenport but after 2 seasons there is no longer a story left for me to tell ... I wasn't going to say anything as I didn't want to ruin the story for the lovely #Revengers but as it's been leaked anyway ... The Revenge writers are trying to come up with an exit story for Davenport and I will of course play that out for you all ... My preference is that Ashley Davenport dies in a blaze of glory. Preferable whilst wearing Valentino couture....Or Chanel. I'm not fussy."
Davenport was leading lady Emily Thorne's (Emily VanCamp) first friend in the Hamptons, but soon turned against her when they both fully committed to the Grayson family.
Madekwe isn't the only one to lose her spot on the show. Connor Paolo, whose character Declan Porter died in the season finale, will obviously not be returning to the series either ...unless for once of those trademark Revenge flashbacks.
What do you think? Are you happy to hear that Ashley Davenport will no longer be part of the Revenge drama?
