Both 300: Rise of an Empire and The Wolverine released new, buff and tough trailers this week, which begs the question: Which movie is the strongest?
Following Gerard Butler's breakout role in the sexy but bloody 2006 film 300, Zach Synder (Man of Steel, Watchmen) returns with a new shirtless man leading the Greeks to battle, actor Sullivan Stapleton.
300: Rise of an Empire, out March 14, 2014, pretty much starts where the first film left off. After King Leonidas' (Butler) men went to war and died, Greek general Themistocles (Stapleton) battles an invading army of Persians under the mortal-turned-god, Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro). Also returning for the sequel is Game Of Thrones star Lena Headey who plays Queen Gorgo.
While the 300 sequel isn't hitting theaters until next year, The Wolverine movie is coming July 26, 2013. Hugh Jackman reprises his shirtless role, and this time Wolverine makes a voyage to modern-day Japan, where he encounters an enemy from his past that will impact on his future.
