The angsty '90s cult classic Reality Bites to many defined a generation, and now it's coming to the small screen with the help of some of the original cast and crew members.

Director and star of the 1994 film, Ben Stiller, and writer of Reality Bites, Helen Childress, have teamed up to make their movie a TV comedy series that is to air on NBC, Deadline reports. The single-camera show will center on the lead character from the movie, Lelaina Pierce, who was famously played by Winona Ryder in the film, and her struggles after graduating from college in the '90s.

Just like the movie, the Reality Bites TV show will be set in Houston, TX and will include Lelaina's slacker friends, who were portrayed in the movie by Ethan Hawke, Janeane Garofalo and Steve Zahn.
