The British Columbia Coroners Service ruled Wednesday, Oct. 2, that Cory Monteith's death was accidental, penning the cause of death on the use of "intravenous heroin combined with alcohol."
Investigators, according to FOX News, say a spoon with drug residue and a used hypodermic needle were found at the hotel room in Vancouver, Canada where the Glee actor was found dead on July 13. Two empty bottles of champagne were also found.
Cory was 31 when he passed away. "Mr. Monteith was found in a collapsed position on the hotel room floor," the report read following the news of the actor's passing. "It appeared that Mr. Monteith had been dead for several hours."
