Kim K's Ring Sold For How Much?!

Hopefully Kim Kardashian's engagement ring from Kris Humphries doesn't have any bad juju because someone reportedly paid a whole lot of money for it.
According to Us Weekly, the Lorraine Schwartz ring was auctioned off at Christie's on Tuesday, Oct. 15 in New York City for the final price of $749,000. The ring is a "16.21-carat center diamond and two 1.8-carat side diamonds." Though nearly a million dollars seems steep, the accessory's initial worth was around $2 million.
It was reported by multiple sources this past month that Humphries, 28, was putting the ring on the auction block after proposing to Kardashian, 28, in May 2011. The reality star announced the couple's split 72 days later after getting married.
The catalog for the auction, which started at $200,000, notes that some of the proceeds from the ring will be donated to an undisclosed charity.
Do you approve of the engagement ring being auctioned off? After all, the two did officially divorce in May of this year.
