After a little over three years of marriage, Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom are calling it quits, one report claims.
"In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months," a rep said in a statement obtained by ETonline. "After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation."
Bloom, 36, and Kerr, 30, began dating in 2007, and were married in July 2010 after announcing their engagement only a month prior. "Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family," the statement continues.
The Hobbit actor and the supermodel have one son, Flynn Bloom, who was born on Jan. 6, 2011.
News of the couple's split may come as a surprise for some as the two just made their last public appearance on Sept. 19 at the opening of Bloom's Broadway play Romeo and Juliet, where he stars alongside Condola Rashad. Then, about two weeks ago, Kerr and Bloom were seen enjoying a night out in New York City, with son Flynn resting comfortably on his dad's shoulders.
On top of that, it seems to be business as usual for Kerr, who posted on Instagram on Oct. 24th:
This past June, the former Victoria's Secret model commented on her views of marriage, telling Net-a-porter's online magazine The Edit, "I think it is really important not to feel as a woman that you have to do and be everything."
The Australian beauty added, "If you're really an alpha female, you don't allow [your partner] to have the space to feel like the man in the relationship. Maybe I am too traditional, but men feel important when you ask for their help, instead of thinking you can do it all on your own."
