Taylor Swift was called the "Biggest Pop Star in the World" by New York Magazine, and reveals to the publication her relationship requirements when it comes to becoming one of her infamous muses she writes about in her songs.
The 23-year-old singer says she only writes about "crazy love" and nothing less. "If I go on two dates with a guy and we don't click, I'm not writing a song about that," she shares. "It didn't matter in the emotional grand scheme of things. There's a lot that goes on in daily life that isn't really worth turning into a verse and a chorus."
She added, "I think that allowing yourself to feel raw, real emotions in public is something I am never going to be afraid to do. Hopefully that's the case, if I can remain a real human. I'm fine with being honest with my fans about the fact that it's okay that everything isn't okay all the time. I love my life, I love my career, I love my friends -- but things are not okay all the time. So I don't sing about things being okay all the time."
Swift also used the interview to send a message to her haters, "I mean, [critics] can say that all they want. Those are real feelings that every single person goes through."
The 22 singer quips, "There's a spin on every single celebrity out there. I know that one of my spins is: 'Oh, Taylor's heartbroken. Oh, Taylor fell in love and the guy broke her heart. She's sad all the time and lonely.'"
After this interview, do you think Swift deserves the title of "Biggest Pop Star in the World"?
