From Lady Gaga to Will Smith to Joan Rivers, Jimmy Fallon's first Tonight Show boasted a large lineup of stars stopping by the New York studio.
The long list of celebrity cameos on Monday's Tonight Show included: musical guest U2, Lindsay Lohan, Robert De Niro, Kim Kardashian, Mariah Carey, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lady Gaga, Mike Tyson, Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, Seth Rogen and Joan Rivers.
"To my buddy who said I'd never be host of The Tonight Show, and you know who you are, you owe me $100 buddy," Fallon, 39, said. This led to stars, starting with De Niro, coming in to give the new host his $100.
Another highlight of the evening was Fallon and Will Smith's Evolution of Hip Hop Dance. Dressed in clothes Smith's '90s character on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air would wear, the men busted out The Robot, Crank That (Soulja Boy) and even The Carlton.
The star-studded lineup produced strong ratings for NBC during Fallon's debut on Tonight, which pulled in a 7.1 rating/20 share in overnight metered-market results. The numbers tied the launch of Conan O'Brien's run on The Tonight Show in 2009. Fallon's premiere was also the second-highest Tonight Show overnight ratings since May 29, 2009 (8.8/20) -- Leno's last telecast before O'Brien took over.
Fallon's Tonight launch aired at midnight -- not the show's usual 11:35 p.m. time slot -- as NBC leveraged its coverage of the Sochi Olympics as a lead-in.
