Amy Tears Up Talking About Philip Seymour Hoffman

By JACKIE WILLIS

February 20, 2014

Just days after the sudden death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams showed up on Bravo's Inside the Actors Studio (which aired on Wednesday night) and broke down a bit talking about her Doubt co-star.

Host James Lipton gently asked Adams, 39, about the late actor, which led to her tearing up. "Gosh, I wish you could all get a chance to work with him. He was beautiful, a beautiful spirit," she said of Hoffman. "And he has this unique ability to see people, really see them."

Nearly breaking down, Adams added, "And he will be missed. Sorry, I really ...I just really loved him and I know so many people did, and I just don't know how much more I can talk about it now. Sorry."
