The actor is reportedly being strongly considered to portray Hollywood musical legend Busby Berkeley in a biopic, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The book Buzz: The Life and Art of Busby Berkeley by Jeffrey Spivak is to be adapted, with the film being produced by Gosling and Marc Platt.

Busby, who passed away in 1976, earned three Oscar nominations for Best Dance Direction, a category that no longer exists, and is perhaps best known for his routines in the 1933 Warner Brothers musicals 42 Street and Gold Diggers of 1933.
