Will the games go on? It's being reported that one of the stars of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay 2 suffered an injury over the weekend while on set in Berlin, Germany.
E! is reporting that Liam Hemsworth, who plays Gale Hawthorne in the film franchise, was seen limping around on Friday, causing the cast and crew to take Saturday off. After his ankle had some time to heel, production resumed on Tuesday, May 27.
The 24-year-old Aussie actor's injury was reportedly caused by him kicking a "Styrofoam stone dummy," but that has yet to be confirmed. The website reports that Hemsworth was taken for his second checkup at the doctor's on Tuesday and was there for over an hour. He was escorted by two people in his entourage and his driver.
Prior to this seemingly minor injury, Hemsworth and his co-stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson were promoting The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 at the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival earlier this month. The sequel will hit theaters Nov. 21, 2014.
