Ed Sheeran Reveals Whether He'd Sing at Prince Harry's Wedding (Exclusive)

The singer says he 'barely knows' the 33-year-old royal -- but that won't necessarily get in the way of his performance!

Will Ed Sheeran perform at Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle? Well, that's up to Harry!

ET's Keltie Knight spoke with Sheeran at KIIS-FM’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Presented by Capital One at the Forum in Inglewood, California, on Friday, where he revealed that he and Harry aren't actually that close, despite what "Americans" may think.

"I get asked this all the time like I know the Royal family. I've met Harry once!" he confessed. "[And] that was in 2011 at his grans' Jubilee, and it was like, 'Hey.' 'Hey'... I barely know him!"

While Sheeran and Harry aren't exactly pals, the 26-year-old singer says he'd probably perform at Harry's nuptials to Markle "if I was free" -- but doesn't want to get fans' hopes up!

"I feel like all Americans ask English people like, 'Hey, do you know the queen?' And like, well I have met her, that is quite a true fact, but I don't know Harry that well," he shared.

One person he does know pretty well, however, is his girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn -- who he's already picked out a Christmas gift for.

"I got her art lessons. She wanted to learn how to draw, so I got her art lessons," Sheeran said, assuring everyone that he's not spoiling Seaborn's holiday surprise. "She knows this, because we had to work out a day. So she knows."

While Sheeran performing at the royal wedding is clearly up in the air, Harry and Markle's spring nuptials are sure to include plenty of famous faces. See more in the video below.
