Jonah Hill and Emma Stone, who played high school love interests in 2007's Superbad, way back before they were both Oscar-nominated actors, are reuniting for a new project, the mind-bending Netflix series Maniac.

In the upcoming sci-fi series, Stone and Hill play strangers who get tangled up in a pharmaceutical trial gone wrong, and from the looks of the first photos from the show, which also stars Sonoya Mizuno, Justin Theroux, Julia Garner, Jemima Kirke and Sally Field, it's going to be a trippy ride.

Apart from one shot where Stone and Hill are holding hands in street clothes, the actors are seen in coordinating gray jumpsuits, undergoing some kind of testing in a sterile, futuristic looking room. Multi-colored shots show Hill and Stone with devices surrounding their heads as they sit, eyes closed, in reclining chairs with their fellow test subjects.

Directed by True Detective's Cary Fukunaga, Maniac is adapted from a Norwegian comedy series of the same name, which first aired in 2014. No release date has yet been announced.
