Kate Middleton's Engagement Announcement Dress Sold Out in 24 Hours

Kate Middleton will soon be a princess, but she's already making a name for herself in the fashion world.

Kate wore an elegant navy dress when she stepped out with Prince William to announce their engagement to the media. The soon-to-be-princess wore an Issa London Sapphire dress for the big day, and the outfit sold out at Harvey Nichols within 24 hours of her appearance, Vogue UK reported.

"Since the announcement of the royal engagement we have been inundated with requests regarding Issa," Harvey Nichols' buying director Averyl Oates told Vogue. "The dress worn by Kate sold out almost immediately. Issa is one of our best selling brands and the versatility of the pieces mean that they can be dressed down for the day and dressed up for special occasions."

The dress is priced at around $600 U.S. dollars.
