Vera Wang and Husband Separate After 22 Years

Though she's known for creating wedding dresses fit for a fairy tale, looks like Vera Wang's own marriage to husband Arthur Becker isn't getting the happy ending she was hoping for. The longtime couple is separating just two weeks shy of their 23rd wedding anniversary.

"Vera Wang and Arthur Becker have mutually and amicably agreed to separate. They remain devoted parents to their two daughters," Wang's company's president, Mario Grauso, confirmed in a statement to WWD.

Wang and Becker have two daughters together, Celia and Josephine. The two wed at The Pierre hotel in New York in 1989.

But though Becker is heavily involved in Wang's multimillion-dollar business (he reportedly advised Wang "closely" as her business changed from a one-stop bridal shop on the Upper East Side into an internationally recognized brand coveted by the mass market and celebrities alike), apparently, the two will make every effort to not let their personal relationship affect the business.

"They will not let this impact the running of the company. They have worked too hard to build it up," a friend tells WWD.
