Max's Inspiration Behind Schmidt's Style: JT!

It's no secret that Max Greenfield's scene-stealing New Girl character Schmidt is a snazzy dresser, and now he's revealing the inspiration behind his very GQ look in the show.

"I felt like Schmidt's style can be best described as he saw a Justin Timberlake HBO special and did his best to kind of replicate that within a budget," he tells InStyle.com. "And it didn't go well. And it's kind of stayed on that level ever since."

Though Greenfield's not the only one singing Timberlake's stylish praises as of late.

Mad Men star Jon Hamm also recently revealed that he's a "big fan" of the Suit & Tie singer.

"I think he's a trendsetter, as they say. But he's always been kind of a natty dresser," he tells the AP. "[He's] a very fashion-forward kind of guy ... That one unfortunate picture of him in that denim tuxedo excused."
