Lupita Nyong'o not only won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress Sunday night at the Oscars -- she also landed on just about everyone's best-dressed list thanks to her stunning Cinderella-like Prada gown and her gorgeous sparkly diamond Fred Leighton headband -- which now even has its very own Twitter account!

ET recently sat down with her hair stylist Larry Sims to get the dish on her now iconic look, and he shared that the headband actually only became an option the night before the Oscars.

"I started off with an idea in my mind as to what I wanted to do with Lupita's hair, because I saw the dress, and it wasn't until the night before the Oscars that her wardrobe stylist brought out this amazing Fred Leighton headband that was incrusted in diamonds. It was dipped in gold," he dished. "I was like, 'Oh my God, this piece is absolutely beautiful.' And they gave me the option to either go with the headband, or not go with the headband, but I really wanted to be able to complement the headband with a hairstyle that worked."

To achieve the much-praised 'do, Sims used a few of his own products from his line of professional products with Smooth N Shine, called Go Pro Curls. Sims started by applying a quarter-size amount of Smooth 'N Shine Go Pro Curls Gelle Parfait on her damp hair, and then diffused her hair to create a fine curl and texture. He then used Smooth 'N Shine Go Pro Gro Crème Oil to smooth out the front of Lupita's hairline, and also applied the Crème Oil on the sides of her head to give her hair a smooth and shiny finish. After her hairline was smoothed, he pushed back her hair with the headband, then shaped the crown of her hair around the tiara. Her look was completed with göt2b rise 'n shine luminous lift hairspray for flexibility and added glossy hold.

And what was the 12 Years a Slave star's mood on Oscar day?

According to Sims, despite the immense pressure, Lupita was relaxed and got ready for the night by dancing to Beyonce!

"Lupita felt amazing the day of Oscars. ... Once her publicist left the room, we decided to have a dance-off, so she put on Beyonce's Grown Woman and we broke it down," he recalled. "We danced, we sweated in that four minutes, so that we all could get a little loose, and we took our time."
