Looks like Kit Harington, 27, won't be cutting his enviable curly brown locks anytime soon.

Harington, who plays Jon Snow on HBO's Game of Thrones, revealed on Live with Kelly and Michael Tuesday that he's actually contractually obliged to keep his signature 'do.

"It has its own contract, definitely," Harington said. "I never thought I'd say that about my own hair. I'm just not allowed to cut it, and I just realized this recently. I wanted to cut it -- I've had long hair for ages -- and they were like, 'No, no, no, that won't be happening.'"

Unlike some actresses, he's also not allowed to just wear a wig or a weave.

"There's all of these ridiculous conversations that go back and forth between agents and managers and HBO: 'Can we have four inches off or can we have an inch off? What can we do with this? How curly should it be?' It's silly," he explained.

But the notion of a hair contract might not be as ridiculous as it sounds -- Keri Russell's WB show Felicity's ratings famously declined after she got a dramatic pixie cut.
