French fashion house Balmain is all about the now, recruiting in-demand talent like Gigi and Bella Hadid, Kanye West, Joan Smalls, and Kendall Jenner.

But for the Spring 2016 campaign, creative director Olivier Rousteing is going timeless, bringing back the iconic faces of the ‘90s supermodel era. Rousteing recruited Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, and Naomi Campbell for the campaign, shot by legendary fashion photographer Steven Klein.

"Those four singular talents have inspired me from day one," Rousteing said in a press release. "When I was a schoolboy in Bordeaux, it was their editorials that first made clear to me the amazing transformative power of fashion. Still today, many years on, their iconic images are often found amongst the jumble on mood boards in my (and almost every other designer's) atelier. To say that working with them was a dream come true is no exaggeration."

The timeless beauties are shot in black and white in the stunning pics, posted to Rousteing’s Instagram account. Young talent might be the current trend, but it’s clear that Crawford, 49, Schiffer, 45, and Campbell, 45, haven’t lost a step.

“U made me love FASHION yesterday, U make me love FASHION today, and U re going to make me Love FASHION in the FUTURE,” the 30-year-old designer captioned individual pics with each model.

"There was never any doubt that the final images would be anything but perfect," Rousteing added. "Looking at them now, I like to think that perhaps someday these shots might also form part of some future designer's mood board."
