Melania Trump's stunning RNC dress is actually a wedding dress.

While Melania Trump's speech on Monday may be hotly contested, her style was definitely a major hit.

The 46-year-old former model sported a form-fitting white Roksanda Ilincic dress featuring distinct bell sleeves, which is actually meant to be worn by "the modern bride." Retailing for $2,190 at Net-a-porter, the cotton and silk-blend dress sold out following Melania's appearance.

Melania paired the flattering frock with nude Christian Louboutin heels.

Not surprising given her fashion background, the Slovenia native selected the dress herself -- called the "Margot" -- and bought it from Net-a-porter without the help of any stylists, a spokeswoman tells Women's Wear Daily.

Of course, Melania's dress isn't the only aspect of her appearance at the 2016 RNC making headlines. Twitter exploded on Monday when some noticed that some of her remarks bore a striking resemblance to the speech Michelle Obama gave at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

The Trump campaign later responded to the plagiarism accusation in a statement reading, "In writing her beautiful speech, Melania's team of writers took notes on her life's inspirations, and in some instances included fragments that reflected her own thinking. Melania's immigrant experience and love for America shone through in her speech, which made it such a success."
