Bryce Dallas Howard looked fierce at Monday night's Hollywood premiere of Pete's Dragon in a stunning animal print dress fit for the occasion.

"I am dressed as a dragon on a green carpet!" Howard told ET. "When I saw it, I was like, 'Oh my gosh!'"

The 35-year-old actress rocked a hip-hugging green Givenchy number for the event at the El Capitan Theatre. While the dress held tight to Howard's curves, it remained flexible enough for her to ride a stationary dragon.

"I got to fly with Elliott one last time tonight at the premiere of @disneypetesdragon," she wrote in an Instagram post.

Nostalgia dominated the night as many of the attendees, including Howard, grew up loving the 1977 original movie, starring Sean Marshall, Mickey Rooney and Shelley Winters.

"I watched it all the time when I was a kid!" Howard told ET. "So at first I wasn't so sure. I was like, 'Wait, they are remaking Pete's Dragon?' and then I got my hands on the script and saw that it was actually remarkably different, but stays true to the central themes that made that original movie so special."

In the remake, an orphaned boy named Pete (Oakes Fegley) goes on adventures with his best friend, Elliott, who happens to be a dragon.

Pete's Dragon, also starring Robert Redford and Wes Bentley, hits theaters Aug. 12.
