Makeup artist James Charles is making history.

Katy Perry broke the news that the 17-year-old Internet star would be the first "coverboy" ambassador of CoverGirl, who hails him as a "boundary breaker." Charles told his Instagram followers that he was "beyond excited and overwhelmed and happy and astonished and of course, SHOOK" about representing the brand.
