Gwyneth Paltrow definitely isn't afraid to take fashion risks.
The 44-year-old actress turned heads at the River Fund's Silver Anniversary Gala in New York City on Thursday, walking the red carpet in a bold, multicolored dress by Esteban Cortazar.
Paltrow let the quirky one-shouldered dress -- and it's thigh-high slit -- speak for itself, sporting minimal jewelry and accessorizing her look with a red lip and matching sandals.
The Iron Man star might have gotten a little inspiration for her artistic ensemble from her adorable mother-son date at the Guggenheim museum.
"Mother, son and #agnesmartin @guggenheim 💙," she sweetly captioned a snap of herself and 10-year-old son Moses admiring an Agnes Martin piece on Thursday.
But back to Paltrow's bold, thigh-baring look. The Goop founder has been working hard to maintain her fit physique and clear skin, supplementing her workouts with everything from cupping to bee sting injections and an infrared sauna.
"I love the infrared sauna. That has changed my life." she told ET's Carly Steel earlier this year. "I try to do it two to three times a week."
